These policies are here to create clarity, protect your time and mine, and support a grounded working relationship.
Privacy, AI Use & Practice Policies
Last updated: July 29, 2026
Your privacy matters. Personal information shared with Laurie Anne King and LaurieAnneKing.com is handled with care, restraint and respect.
This page explains how I collect, use, protect and disclose personal information. It also sets out the booking terms, scope, limitations and safety practices connected with my services and resources.
Privacy Accountability
Laurie Anne King is responsible for the personal information collected through this website and through her practice.
Questions, access requests and privacy concerns may be directed to:
Laurie Anne King
Email: la@laurieanneking.com
Website: LaurieAnneKing.com
My privacy practices are informed by the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and guidance from the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Information I May Collect
Depending on how you interact with me, I may collect:
Your name, email address, telephone number and other contact information.
Appointment dates, scheduling preferences and booking history.
Billing and transaction information. Full payment-card details are generally processed by the applicable payment provider rather than stored directly by me.
Information you submit through contact forms, questionnaires, email or other correspondence.
Information you choose to share during a Discovery Call, Intuitive Integration session, psychic reading, portrait session, event or other service.
Session notes, consent records, integration materials and other records created in connection with our work.
Audio, video or written transcripts where recording or transcription has been disclosed and appropriately consented to.
Portrait photographs and related creative material produced during photography services.
Newsletter subscriptions, resource requests and communication preferences.
Basic website and device information, such as browser type, general location, pages visited and referring links, where collected through website analytics, cookies or similar technologies.
I collect only what is reasonably needed for the stated purpose.
Why I Collect and Use Information
Personal information may be used to:
Respond to questions and communicate with you.
Determine whether a service is appropriate for your needs.
Schedule, prepare for and provide sessions, readings, photography or other services.
Process payments and maintain financial and business records.
Create session materials, integration resources or requested recordings.
Deliver newsletters, essays, resources and service updates.
Maintain consent, booking and communication records.
Protect the security and operation of my website and practice.
Meet legal, accounting, insurance and regulatory responsibilities.
Improve the clarity, accessibility and operation of my services.
Information will not be used for a materially different purpose without further notice or consent unless otherwise permitted or required by law.
Consent and Your Choices
By submitting information or requesting a service, you consent to the reasonable collection, use and disclosure needed to respond to your request and provide that service.
The form of consent depends on the sensitivity of the information and how it will be used. I seek express consent where information is sensitive, where a session will be recorded or transcribed, where client material may be processed through an AI-assisted system, or where a proposed use would fall outside what you could reasonably expect.
You may withdraw consent for future use, subject to legal, contractual and record-keeping requirements. Withdrawing consent may limit my ability to continue providing a service.
Session Recordings and Transcripts
Sessions are not recorded or transcribed without your knowledge.
Where recording or transcription is proposed, I will explain:
What is being recorded or transcribed.
Why it is being created.
Which service or technology will be used.
How the resulting material may be used and stored.
Whether an AI-assisted service is involved.
How long the material is expected to be retained.
Express consent will be obtained before a sensitive session is recorded or transcribed. You may ask questions or decline before the recording begins.
Portrait Photography and Image Use
Portrait photographs are personal information and creative works.
Your images will not be published, displayed in a portfolio, used in advertising, shared on social media, entered into competitions or used for another public purpose without separate permission.
Client portraits will not be submitted to an AI image-generation or model-training system without separate, informed and express permission.
Any image release agreement will be presented separately from the general agreement for photography services. Declining public use will not prevent you from purchasing or participating in a portrait session.
Service Providers and Processing Outside Canada
I use trusted service providers to support website hosting, scheduling, video calls, transcription, document management, email delivery, payments and other business functions.
These providers may include services such as Squarespace, Calendly, Zoom, Otter, Google Workspace, Substack, email distribution platforms, and payment processors. The services used may change over time.
A provider receives only the information reasonably needed to perform its function. Each provider operates under its own privacy terms, security practices, and data retention policies.
Some providers may process or store information outside Canada, including in the United States. Information handled in another country may be subject to the laws and lawful-access requirements of that jurisdiction.
I remain responsible for personal information under my control and take reasonable steps when selecting and using service providers.
AI-Assisted Tools
My work has always involved listening closely, documenting what I perceive and finding language for information that may not initially arrive in words.
My writing and practice are informed by more than forty years of psychic mediumship and Intuitive Integration, along with CranioSacral Therapy, SomatoEmotional Release, neuroacoustic practice, Five Element work, natural healing, archetypal and symbolic inquiry, metaphysics, esoterica, traditional oracles and Usui-Do.
I may use AI-assisted tools to:
Capture spoken or fast-moving material.
Organize notes and transcripts.
Trace patterns through complex material.
Support research.
Test structure and clarity.
Assist with editing and administrative work.
AI does not conduct my readings, receive information from Source Intelligence, determine what psychic material means or replace my discernment and professional judgment.
I do not use AI to make automated decisions about whether someone may work with me, what they should do, what an experience means or what outcome they should pursue.
I will not place a complete, directly identifiable client transcript or sensitive client record into a general-purpose AI system. Where AI-assisted tools are used, I limit the material to what is reasonably needed and remove or reduce identifying information wherever practicable.
I review, question, and revise everything that carries my name. The lived experience, psychic perception, interpretation, selection, final language, authorship and responsibility remain mine.
Client Material Used in Writing or Teaching
Client experiences sometimes contribute to broader reflections, educational material or writing about recurring human patterns.
I do not knowingly publish identifiable client information without express permission.
Where examples are used without direct attribution, details may be removed, altered, combined or generalized to reduce the likelihood that a particular person can be identified. Sensitive information will not be included merely because it was shared with me or is technically available.
A client’s privacy takes precedence over the usefulness of an anecdote.
Cookies and Website Analytics
This website may use essential cookies and limited analytics to operate the site, understand general website use, remember preferences and support security.
Some cookies are required for website functions. Other cookies may be controlled through your browser or any cookie-preference tool made available on the site.
Third-party content, embedded forms, scheduling tools, payment services, or videos may set their own cookies or collect technical information in accordance with their own policies.
Safeguards
I use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information under my control. These may include:
Password protection and account security.
Multi-factor authentication where available.
Restricted access to client records.
Secure service providers.
Device and software updates.
Careful handling of recordings, transcripts, photographs and session materials.
Secure deletion or destruction when records are no longer required.
No email, website, cloud platform, or online service can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please avoid sending highly sensitive information through ordinary email when a more appropriate method is available.
Retention and Deletion
Personal information is retained only as long as reasonably necessary to provide services, maintain legitimate business records, meet legal and accounting requirements, respond to disputes and fulfil the purpose for which it was collected.
Different records may have different retention periods. Financial and transaction records may be retained for the period required by tax or other applicable law.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, it will be securely deleted, destroyed or anonymized where practicable.
Accuracy, Access and Corrections
You may ask whether I hold personal information about you and request access to that information, subject to any lawful exceptions.
You may also ask me to correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
A request should be made in writing to la@laurieanneking.com. I may need to verify your identity before releasing or changing personal information.
Privacy Breaches
If personal information is lost, accessed without authorization, used improperly or disclosed in error, I will assess the circumstances and take reasonable steps to contain and address the incident.
Records will be maintained as required. Where a breach creates a real risk of significant harm, I will report it to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada and notify affected individuals as required by law.
Newsletter and Email Communications
Newsletter and marketing emails are sent where consent exists or communication is otherwise permitted by law.
Commercial electronic messages will include appropriate identification and a working unsubscribe method. You may unsubscribe at any time via the link in the email or by contacting me directly.
Unsubscribe requests will be acted upon as required. Service-related messages, such as appointment confirmations, payment receipts or requested information, may still be sent where necessary to complete an existing request or agreement.
Eligibility and Younger Clients
My services are primarily intended for adults aged 18 and over.
In limited circumstances, I may work with a younger person where the service is appropriate and a parent or legal guardian is properly informed, involved and able to provide the necessary consent.
Additional privacy and consent protections may be required when working with a minor.
Booking and Practice Terms
Booking, Rescheduling and Cancellations
Appointment time is reserved specifically for you.
For private sessions and package sessions, at least 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or reschedule.
For Discovery Calls, at least two business days’ notice is required.
Late cancellations and missed appointments may be considered forfeited and may not be rescheduled or credited, except at my discretion or where otherwise agreed.
If I need to cancel, or if a technical issue on my end prevents the session from proceeding, the appointment will be rescheduled without penalty.
Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled times.
For regular sessions, a delay of up to 10 minutes may sometimes be accommodated, but the session will still end at the original time. A longer delay may require rescheduling or may be treated as a missed appointment.
Brief delays for Discovery Calls may be accommodated, but the call will still end at the scheduled time. Longer delays may require rescheduling.
Payments and Refunds
Payment reserves time and supports the preparation, administration and care involved in the work.
Except where required by law or agreed in writing, completed sessions, used services, digital resources and package payments are generally non-refundable.
If you have a serious concern immediately after the first paid session in a package, contact me in writing within 24 hours and explain it clearly. I will review the circumstances in good faith. This does not guarantee a refund.
Unused package sessions, payment plans, cancellations and transfers are governed by the written agreement connected with the particular service.
Complimentary Discovery Calls do not involve a payment or refund.
Scope of Services
My work supports personal inquiry, spiritual development, pattern recognition, integration and meaningful change.
I am an Intuitive Integration Practitioner and Psychic Medium. Unless expressly stated otherwise, I am not providing psychotherapy, psychology, medical care, psychiatric treatment, legal advice, financial advice, crisis intervention or another regulated professional service.
This work is not a substitute for diagnosis, treatment or care from an appropriately qualified professional.
If you require medical, psychological, psychiatric, legal, financial or emergency assistance, contact a properly qualified provider or local emergency or crisis service.
Intuitive and Spiritual Work
Psychic, intuitive, symbolic and spiritual experiences are subjective.
A session may include intuitive impressions, symbolic material, mediumistic perception, bodily information, metaphor and spiritual interpretation. These are offered for inquiry, reflection, and integration rather than as guaranteed facts, predictions, or proofs.
No particular message, spirit contact, result or outcome can be promised.
You remain responsible for your decisions, actions, interpretations and well-being. Information received in a session should not be used as the sole basis for a medical, legal, financial or other high-consequence decision.
Live Events, Groups and Private Readings
In events, groups and private readings, intuitive material may arise differently from what a participant hopes or expects.
There is no guarantee that a specific deceased person, spiritual presence, answer, event or outcome will be perceived.
Participants are asked to approach this work with openness, discernment, and respect for others' privacy.
Information shared by another participant in a group setting should be treated as confidential, although absolute confidentiality by all participants cannot be guaranteed.
Meditation and Neuroacoustic Audio Safety
Guided meditations and neuroacoustic resources are designed for reflection, regulation and inner awareness.
Do not listen while driving, operating machinery or undertaking an activity that requires full external attention.
Use audio resources in a safe setting where you can stop if you become uncomfortable, disoriented or distressed. Seek appropriate professional support when a physical or psychological concern requires it.
Technology and Online Sessions
Online sessions depend on internet access, functioning devices and a reasonably private environment.
Please arrive a few minutes early, test your setup and choose a space where you can speak freely and remain uninterrupted.
If technical difficulties arise, we will determine whether the session can continue by another method or should be rescheduled.
You are responsible for the privacy and security of the physical environment and device you use to join the session.
Changes to These Policies
These policies may be updated when services, technologies, providers, laws or practice requirements change.
The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated directly where appropriate.
